MASTER PROGRAM IN FOOD TECHNOLOGY

After the successful launch of the master program in Tropical Aquaculture, Can Tho University has continued to proceed another master program in Food Technology. This program has been constructed through a close collaboration between Flemish and Vietnamese institutions including Universiteit Gent,Katholieke Universiteit Leuven,Can Tho University, NhaTrang University, Hue University and Vietnam National University of Agriculture under the framework of VLIR Network project.The curriculum of this program has been developed based on benchmarking with other university curricula, especially with the interuniversity program in Food Technology which jointly offered by Universiteit Gent and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (IUPFOOD, Belgium), and it is modified to be appropriate with local conditions.The teaching staves are professors from partner universities. English is the official language in teaching process. For each academic year, four full scholarships will be granted to qualified students on the basis of admission screening, which covers travel cost, tuition fee, monthly allowances, and medical insurance. The maximum number of prospective students is from 20 to 30 for each academic year.
Since the academic year 2016-2017, candidates can apply for admission until July 15th, 2017.

Master program in Aquaculture

In the summer semester of the academic year 2015-2016, Can Tho University has launched a new master programme in Tropical Aquaculture. The programme has been designed based on the collaboration between Vietnamese institutions including Can Tho University, Nha Trang University, Hue University, Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture, Institute for Aquaculture Research No. 2 and University of Gent (Belgium) within the framework of the VLIR-Network project. The teaching staff  are professors from partnered university. English is the language of instruction in the program. Four full scholarship are granted to qualified students on the basis of admission screening, which covers travel cost, tuition fee, monthly allowances, and medical insurance. The maximum number of prospective students is from 20 to 30 for each academic year.
As for the academic 2015-2016, the candidates can apply for admission until August 15th, 2017.

IR1 :Network based MSc student credit exchange system

Credit exchange was implemented on the second semester of the academic year 2014-2015 between CTU and NTU from January 5th to 25th, 2015. There are MSc 9 students from NTU studied two courses (Water quality management and Coastal aquaculture systems) at CTU, and 29 MSc students of CTU took part in 1 course (Advanced aquaculture) at NTU. The following pictures demonstrate these activities in CTU and experimental places.

IR2: Network based Doctoral School operational

In April 2014, PhD Summer school was organized at NTU by NTU on June 16-25, 2014. there were 22 PhD students from five partners attended  the course. . they are from VNUA (3 students), HU(2 students), NTU( 11 students) , RIA2( 2 students)  and CTU ( 4 students). in addition, one PhD student from CTU has been accepted by UGent for the  double degree programme.
